Materials:
2 strips of gift tie ribbons about 12" longs for 3/8" wide
or 16" long for 1/2" wide and 3" long for tail
(Try using the cheaper ribbons to practice ... it's firmer and easier to work with.)

NOTE: My Mom taught me how to make this ... I don't know of any books.

Yes ... My Mom has taught me more ribbon foldings.
I hope to post them all someday ... taking the picture is easy ...
coming up with the written directions is hard.
My Mom's direction is ... "fold this over here" and her thumb is in the way.
You can try the ribbon bird ... I don't think I'm done with the directions.

If you have never folded any ribbon stuff ... these patterns are hard.
I would look at the pictures and try to match your creation with it.

	Fold the ribbons in half with one end 1" (1 1/2") longer. Fold "W" up and "B" over. (I clipped the short ends to make it a little easier to follow... )
click on image for more help ...	This is what it should look like. Shred the tail leaving 1/2" unshredded. Roll and tape the unshredded end together.
click on image for more help ...	Loosely wrap long white ribbon behind the short blue ribbon and bring it to the front. Hold with your left thumb and index finger. (Sorry... lefties)
click on image for more help ...	Weave long blue ribbon... over and under the long white ribbon.
click on image for more help ...	Continue weaving the blue ribbon to the backside...over and under.
click on image for more help ...	Insert the tail into the corner and pull the ends to make it tight.
click on image for more help ...	Wrap the short blue (1) under all the ribbons... take the short white (3) and wrap it over the top (I clipped the short ends to make it a little easier to follow... )
click on image for more help ...	Bring the short blue ribbon (1) over the short white and weave the long blue(2) over and under... forming the fins.

Pull all four fins to tighten up the fish...
